All workshops are interactive and based on the premise that adults learn best when they can see the immediate workplace relevance of the tasks they are undertaking. Where possible, authentic workplace documents are used as case studies to demonstrate particular principles and teaching points.
Workshops are usually kept to 15-20 participants to ensure a more personalised service. Each participant receives a comprehensive user manual as a reference.
The length of workshops can vary although most are either half-day modules or full-day workshops.
Workshop outcomes may be measured in a number of ways:
- Participant self-analysis of development
- Manager/supervisor analysis of participant development
- Analysis of participant documentation - pre and post program
- Comparison of time taken for writing documents - pre and post program
- Comparison of number of drafts written - pre and post program
- Return on investment analysis
Appropriate measurement of workshop outcomes is decided in conjunction with clients.
