Writing Ministerial Briefs, Correspondence and Possible Parliamentary Questions (PPQs)
Workshop Description
This one-day workshop will develop your skills in planning, writing and editing briefs, correspondence and PPQs so that they meet the professional standard required by your department. Throughout the workshop you will have the opportunity to analyse relevant departmental documents and apply the skills learned.

Workshop Delivery
The workshop is an informative, interactive one in which you will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned by writing a brief and letter based on case study notes. Sample documents are analysed to highlight key teaching points.
Who Should Attend
This workshop is designed for all staff who are relatively new to public sector writing and who would like to gain an overview of the main types of documents they will be required to write: briefings, executive and ministerial correspondence and possible parliamentary questions (PPQs).
Facilitator
Your facilitator will be Sheryl Ward. Sheryl is a qualified teacher and trainer who has had extensive experience teaching business communication skills to adults both in Australia and South East Asia. She specialises in the area of workplace writing – both public and private sector. Sheryl now runs her own independent training consultancy, Training Works.
